This is an original document, an inventory accounting made in the 1770s or 1780s of slave names with values and some animals.  Two sided, stained and worn.
All amounts in English Pounds.
First Panel (left) on page one - no heading but leads with "Beckley & Her Children L75" and then at least 30 readable slave names with values.
Second Panel (right) on page one - Headed "at Round Hill" - at least 28 readable slave names plus some horses also listed.
On the Reverse - On page two - Headed "At Toanoake" - at least 23 readable slave names and then 15 listings of horses, colts, cattle, hogs, etc.
Amounts are in pounds, and shillings.
This document was among the papers of Capt. John Watts and William Watts of Prince Edward County, Virginia--other documents were dated in the 1770s and 1780s.
This a very desirable Virginia 18th Century document.
This document was folded and edge wear happened along a fold, giving rise to a missing areas in places.  There is a small amount of separation at some of the fold edges.
This is on un-watermarked paper.  The size is about 13" x 7 3/4".
This document has never been offered for individual sale before.  It is a new and important and unrecorded find.
