    Description

2000 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck - low miles, excellent condition! Regular cab, short bed, 4 cylinder engine, 5 speed transmission, A/C, AM/FM stereo. Brand new tires, battery, oil change, windshield wipers, PA inspection. Needs nothing, ready to drive anywhere. Gets thumbs-up wherever it goes! Here's my annoyingly detailed discription of this little truck and it's story:
This truck was bought new in 2000, was meticulously maintaned and cared for until it was traded in in 2005 with 50,000-ish miles. It's second owner is a relative of mine, an older lady who loved this truck dearly. She liked to drive stick, so she looked for quite some time to find a manual truck in this nice of shape! For the next 17 years, she drove it gently, and put approx 18,000 miles on it. They've always had two vehicles, so this truck was mainly used for fun and to transport her crafts to arts and crafts shows. For the last ten years or so, it's been rarely used, but she always kept it waxed, and her husband always kept it maintaned. They would drive it the 15 mile round-trip to the store once a month to keep it from sitting, but aside from that, it wasn't getting used anymore. They're getting up in age, and can't enjoy or maintain it like they'd like to, so they came to me to sell it for them. We put the truck in my name a few weeks ago so they didn't have to be involved in the selling (they'd have to drive for an hour each way to do the notary work, it's much easier for me to do it), but it's basically a 2 owner vehicle.
And so here we are! I'd give this truck a strong 9 out of 10 for the condition it's in: It's all original paint, I don't see any touch-ups or repairs. The last two pictures that show the only real flaws on the body - one very small dent and subsequent small scracthes on the lower rear bed corner, and one chip on the edge of the tailgate. Otherwise, there's nothing but some small stone and minor scratches from 22 years, but no dents, big chips, or rust anywhere. As a life-long Pennsylvanian, it's mind-blowing to reach up under the wheelwells and find nothing but smooth, rust-free metal! So that's the body itself - nearly flawless. It has a Rugged Liner bed liner and a tonneau cover - there's a little cracking in one corner of the cover, but still looks very presentable. The interior is also in excellent shape - no cracks, holes, broken pieces. Never smoked in. Headliner, seats, dash, rubber floormat - all great. The tops of the door panels are a little sun-faded, but they still look good, they're not cracked or chipping. The frame is solid as can be, but it has surface rust in spots. Nothing deep or damaging, just where the paint and undercoating has peeled off of the frame, it has some flaky rust in spots. You could spend an afternoon with a wire brush and a rattle-can and it would look like new. Underhood, everything's fine, but not show-car condition - they didn't keep it polished or detailed like the did with the exterior. There's a little rust under one side of the battery tray , and little spots at the bottom corners of the core support. No holes, not rotten, but flaky paint and surface rust. My detailer wiped it down, but I didn't want to hide any flaws so you can see what you're getting.
Mechanically, it needs nothing - starts easily, idles fine, great oil pressure, runs great. Shifts fine, clutch feels great, no issues. It's funny - I'm used to our quiet, cushy late-model Silverado, so this one sounds kind of noisy to me, but it's a pushrod 4 cylinder stick - they are noisy little things! Both my dealership and my mechanic looked it over and drove it - they both said that they're just noisy little engines, but absolutely no bad noises, rod knocks or valve taps. Everything else seems fine - it steers great, stops fine, just passed PA state inspection with flying colors. No check engine lights - I've been told that an emmisions light comes and goes occasionally, but it hasn't come on for me. Brand new 215/70R15 tires - the old ones had great tread, but they were getting dry-rotted (the new ones aren't in the pics, I can send some if you need). It has plain S10 steel wheels - what you see are hubcaps! She put them on when she bought the truck, and they look great, so I left 'em on! Nothing fancy, but they really make the truck pop. The A/C operatetes, but doesn't blow ice cold so it probably needs a recharge. Brand new battery and synthetic oil change - the last oil change only had a few hundred miles on it, but it was over a year old so it got changed last week.
Okay! So that was long-winded and tiring, but I like to be as accurate as possible - I hate bad suprises when I'm buying something that I can't see in person, I'm sure you feel the same way. I like to be as honest as possible, and that's what I've done here. I don't know this truck inside and out, I've only had it for a week. As nice as it is, it's a 22 year old used truck, so I can't make any guarantees about anything. But between me and my inspection mechanic, we've been all over it and it sure seems like an awesome little truck. I think it's going to make somebody very, very happy for years to come - maybe it's you!  I'm In Homer City PA, in Indiana county - about an hour east of Pittsburgh. I have a notary nearby that can help with plates and title. Please check the listing for deposit and payment info - i can hold the truck for you for a reasonable length of time, but must be paid in full within 7 days. Shipping can be arranged - your responsibility, but I can drive to a local pickup point. Please message me with any questions, additional pic requests. Also, you're welcome to come and see in person before bidding.
