Description
This is a Regular Edition of the Converse County Geocoin with very nice enamel. It has not been activated and is trackable.
I confirmed that is has not been activated at Geocaching.com/track/details.
The coin is approximately 1 1/2" in diameter and approximately 4.0mm thick. It is shiny gold in color but most of the coin is covered in enamel.
Converse County is located in the central, eastern part of Wyoming. Its tourist bureau produced this coin.
The front of the coin has a cowboy in full gallop with a setting (rising?) sun over a mountain. Around the rim are the words, GLENROCK WYOMING. Glenrock is one of the towns in the county and home to the Glenrock Paleontology Museum.
The back has a 2D depiction of the world famous jackalope that resulted from the cross breeding of a Jack Rabbit and an Antelope, which the county and the county seat of Douglas lay claim to. Around the rim are the words, DOUGLAS WYOMING.
I have a number of other Geocoins, some of which I believe have been activated. The original owner of these coins has passed away so I am not able to provide any adoption information for the coins that have been activated. If you have a specific Geocoin you are looking for, please let me know and I will check.
