ndividual slides are protected in plastic pocket sleeves.  Press kits, stills, and slides mailed via First Class are wrapped in plastic, and sandwiched between pieces of cardboard within the mailer.
Items shipped via Priority Mail are wrapped in plastic and protected in a sturdy cardboard box.
