    *Up for sale here is a very scarce Buffum beer bottle, from the Allegheny County steel river town of Pittsburgh, Pennylvania. Bottle would date into the 1890's era. This pint aqua colored blob is in very good shape, and was dug. There is some minor ground wear and some patchy haze. Would tumble up very nicely. Bottle has no chips, pings or dings, and displays handsomely as it is. Please see pictures.
    *It is crisply embossed in a oval slug plate, as it clearly reads ~ "J C BUFFUM Co / PIONEER / BOTTLERS / PITTSBURG, PA." Then around and below the slug plate embossing it reads ~ "Established / 1849 / This Bottle / Is Registered / Not To Be Sold". On the base it has the large "J C B" initials. On the lower reverse heel it has the "D.O.C. 305" Pittsburgh Glass House initials. This pre pro beer measures 9 1/8 inches tall, and 2 3/4 inches in diameter. You will be pleased with this vintage piece of brewery history, from southwestern Pennsylvania.
