Lots of Embossing and A trade mark Lion and Unicorn. Embossed JAMES BUCHANAN DISTILLERS & CO. LTD. Features a crowned lion and a unicorn on the front center then Embossed BY APPOINTMENT TO HIS MAJESTY THE KING. And on each side has horseshoe symbol. The top is corked. The bottom has glass strings from the blowing. It has a couple of minor scuffs. James Buchanan & Co. was one of the "Big Five" producers controlled by one of the great "Whisky Barons." Named after the late James Buchanan, who crafted Scotch that redefined greatness. A uniquely smooth blend that could be enjoyed and shared by all. He launched his company in 1884 with a design inspired by the selfless act of sharing a water canteen between British Soldiers, and still bears the lion crest around the world today.
