hand made needlepoint and crewel,
very beautifully done and very decorative, depicting
a rural landscape in the winter time

Artist’s intention was to capture the mood of a scene, particularly a rural bridge covered in  snow, and help the viewer feel the subject as he experienced it, 'en plein air’, evoking joy, rapture, or quiet contemplation. This art crewel stands out for its unusual tones and mysterious atmosphere.
