Near-Mint Olympus OM-1 MD Camera Body, 2019 CLA + Battery Conversion

Description

Up for sale is an Olympus OM-1 MD body in gorgeous, near-mint condition. There are some marks on the body from use, but you'd have to look closely to notice. The leather is recently replaced and in great shape. I'm also including the body cap and a beautifully handcrafted leather half case from gregkvsvintage on Etsy. The leather half case has a convenient tripod hole on the bottom so that you can still use a tripod with the case. Please note that there is no attached flash shoe, but this can be easily found separately if desired.
This camera body was professionally overhauled by John Titterington in 2019. The service included the below:
completely disassembled and cleaned
relubricated all bearings in the shutter assembly, self timer assembly, slow speed gear train, mirror cage assembly and transport system
cleaned all contacts
recalibrated curtain tension and speeds
recalibrated meter to new 1.5 volt alkaline battery (included)
cleaned viewfinder system: mirror, viewing lens and fresnel screen
replaced foam, front and back
cleaned PC contacts
Currently, the camera is completely functional--I've included a sample photo taken with this camera and a 28mm lens for your reference. The meter is working and accurate. The interior is clean with foam seals in great condition. There are small specks of dust (unavoidable with any camera) but generally the mirror, prism, film compartment, and battery compartment are nearly perfectly clean. All of the controls and dials are wonderfully smooth and the shutter button is a joy to use. The viewfinder is bright and clean, as is the focusing screen. This mechanical beauty is a true gem!
