~~VERY RARE PINT GLASS PACIFIC OYSTER GLASS JAR WITH LID & RING~~

or your consideration is this amazing rare Pacific Oyster Growers Association Glass Jar with the Glass Lid and Zinc Lid.  It is a Pint jar.  The glass is embossed on all sides with the Pacific Oyster emblem.  Says "Certified Quality" around it.  On the bottom of the jar it says, "Pacific Coast Oyster Growers Association."  The bottom also has the letters NW at the bottom and the numbers 298   7 at the top.  Measurements are:  5 1/4" high by 3" wide.  The jar itself is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, or breaks.  The zinc lid is in very good condition--the glass insert at the top has no cracks or breaks.  I do not believe that the lid and ring are original to the jar.
The Pacific Oyster Growers Association was formed in 1930 in Washington.  There are some very interesting articles available online that give the history of the group.
Most of the items that I sell are antique or vintage as as such they do show signs of patina, use, and age.  That only adds to the character that so many collectors desire.  If there are any major issues or defects, I try to describe them to the best of my ability and as accurately as possible.  In the event that I do miss something with words, I provide you with plenty of pictures to be included as part of the description.
