Vintage Planishing (?) Hammer Double Bell Face

Unusual old hammer: not sure about my identification of it since I couldn't find another one quite like it. I thought it might be a metalworking tool, but I may be way off. The best I can determine is that one face is flat, other is very slightly rounded, and a jewelry making site described a similar one as a planishing hammer, which I have heard of (from "Forged in Fire") but haven't seen up close before. Head is carbon steel, handle is wood, nail added at eye to hold more securely. It has been used, shows wear, wood has dings, one hammer face looks like it has cracks that extend to the edge, but just barely below it: not sure how deep. I don't plan to be doing any planishing, so I'll put this out there for somebody who does - or can at least identify it positively for me. See pictures. No markings I could find.
