Item Details: Vintage Rabbit Fur Standing 6” Toy Borzoi Dog With Glass Eyes- Doll Companion?
A very interesting vintage rabbit or goat fur covered standing borzoi dog. It measures approximately 6” tall x 7.5” wide. The fur looks to be attached to some sort of metal screen beneath it. There is a small amount of fur loss on the back of the head, the underside of the stomach area and back leg. You can see the metal screen beneath hair loss on the head. I purchased this at a local consignment store because it was interesting and I’d never seen anything like it before. From the research I did, it appears to be a vintage doll companion toy, but I’m not certain. It is in good condition with just a small amount of hair loss. The coloring is beautiful and very realistic. The eyes appear to be glass. I tried to take as many photos as possible but feel free to ask for more if there is something I missed. The plastic piece around the neck is still attached and I believe the dog originally came with a bow. Please ask any questions before purchasing.
